Peripatetic Music Lessons
Using the Northampton Music and Performing Arts Trusts, NMPAT, peripatetic teachers, children can learn to play woodwind, brass and stringed instruments at school. Lessons are taught usually to pairs of pupils for 20 minutes. There is a termly charge for these lessons that needs to be paid in advance. Those families who may struggle with this should contact school, and where possible we will aim to source financial support.
We like your children to reach a high standard and always stress the importance of regular practice at home. As soon as children are ready they are then encouraged to play in the school bands and ensembles which regularly play in and around school. Your child may also be put forward for Music grades through NMPAT when your child’s peripatetic teachers feels they are ready.
If you are interested in your child attending peripatetic music lessons please contact our school office.
